Beginning of the Era of Happiness! Published as a SoulAnswer
Newsletter, Dec. 6, 2011 “Sometimes
you sense when you are caught by your mental intrigues and feel limited and small. You react and try to
expand any way you can. You may try to blow apart the feeling of limitation by stimulating the mind with
drugs or with some type of extreme or extraordinary experience. That approach just causes more problems
and pain. Anything that pushes you up and out instantly and unnaturally will have a powerful reaction of
at least equal force that pulls you down and back in. Your efforts will backfire. You
can’t become spiritual or wise overnight by some grand effort. You cannot be impatient and greedy
and gobble God like It is a cookie. To
stop the games and mental intrigues and to truly be happy you must develop a consistent attitude of human life in which you
can excel above time and space, using your mind at the frequency of your Soul. That is
the attitude of a happy person. Every other approach and short-cut will prove to be false.
Any approach that relies on holding onto some aspect of finite time and space will fail because time and space constantly
change. Everything that changes will always create duality and paradoxes because of the Law of Polarity
and Complementary. That is why you have a deep and profound instinct to feel the Infinite in you, a spiritual
longing. The One that you all worship and love, and that you want to be is also that which never changes,
is beyond time and space, and is always present.” The first signal that lets you know you are in trouble with your mental intrigues is the feeling that you have to
confront your own mind. It happens when you begin to feel you cannot handle a situation, and suddenly you
are here and your mind is over there. Nobody wants to lose his or her grip on a situation.
It is threatening and you react immediately. You and your mind confront each other.
The mind is the only tool you have. Whether you succeed or fail, you do it with your mind. Recognize that your mind has its own nature, virtues,
and mechanisms. It has both a Positive and a Negative Mind. Let it have the swings and
polarities that come with the play of its parts, but do not allow it to confront you. When you confront
that which gives you your strength, it only creates confusions, weakness, and mistakes. Instead of confronting it, what should you do? Train it.
You can train a dog. You can train parrots to walk a tight-wire and fire a toy gun.
Monkeys are trained to help the disabled; they serve also as the best human assistants. What about
training your mind? The best approach is to apply the mind. When you apply the mind,
it becomes engaged in the task or the experience you give it, so it won’t confront you. Talk to your
mind. Create a relationship to apply and engage it. Tell your mind, “I am the
source of God. I am the Soul within myself. I am living with the Light of God, therefore
you must go with me.” Create a partnership with your mind. When you talk to your mind, assess it. Don’t be anxious
or afraid. As you start talking to it, it will stop working on its other games. This
mind is the biggest game player in the world and it’s right within you. Once you have a relationship
to it, it listens and it cannot play a game to slip something past you or to skip over you. It cannot do
anything to you. You begin to use it and ultimately to master it. When you master it
you will become masterminded. That marks the beginning of the era of happiness.

Avoid Injury to Self! By Yogi Bhajan From: “The
Mind. Its Projections and Multiple Facets” by Yogi Bhajan, PhD with Gurucharan Singh Khalsa, PhD,
Kundalini Research Institute, Espanola, NM, 1998, pages 20-21. Chapter 2 “Win the Game of Life,”
a lecture by Yogi Bhajan. Your mind can be educated. Take your mind and start it on a thought.
Have the thought:
“Do I have reverence, or don’t I have reverence?” Now, I’m telling you how the mind can be educated. Ask if you have reverence
or you don’t. If you have no reverence, don’t communicate. Stop right there.
If you do have reverence, then you must revere your thoughts, and that thought must be honored to prevail and command
every aspect of your communication. The
creation acts on cause and effect. It ill honor each cause you cause unto Infinity, wben if your mind does
not. So ask your mind if you, not your mind, has reverence. Project a postitive reverence,
an eternal respect, for everything whether it is negative nd unwanted or positive and desire. Show the
same reality, compassion, and understanding. If you give reverence to all, the universe will revere you.
Ultimately you will revere and trust your Self. When you conquer your mind you can listen to wisdom and let it find deep roots in your mind to serve you to come
to you whenever you need direction. You can also speak that wisdom simply. Such wisdom
forms rules for life. If you listen carefully to simple wisdom, it enriches the mind and opens the heart
of your own intuition. To complete this talk, let’s share some wisdom some rules to help you live
happily and successfully in life. Rules that help you deal with your mind and the challenges of life.

Ten Principles to Live By and Avoid Injury to Self. By Yogi Bhajan 1. If you don’t want enemies, don’t have friends.
2.
Love is not a dove.
3.
Don’t be so sweet that people will want to eat you, or so bitter that people
will want to throw you away. 4. Open the lips, sink the ship. That means don’t talk unnecessarily. 5. Excellence, elegance, and grace
are the three elements of a human being. If somebody challenges any of these three in you, avoid that person. 6. Only show your strengths, not your
weaknesses. 7. If somebody
says, “I love you,” wait for the next step. People use love as a hook. They
say they love you, but often they’re only out to get something from you. 8. Trust all for nothing.
Trust everybody. Expect nothing. Need nothing. Want nothing.
Those who trust everybody for nothing, Mother Nature and Heavenly Father will come through, it doesn’t matter
what. 9. Remember
your blessings over your weaknesses. 10. Don’t
utter words in friendship that can be used against you in animosity.

Yogi Bhajan on LOVE!
“If the entire divinity and domain of God sits in the heart of a person, and his longing becomes
timeless, then man can develop the capacity to love.” “Love is a process in which ego is lost and infinity is experienced.”
“Love is a creative energy,
an experience of one’s Self within oneself. Love knows no pain—no sacrifice is too much for it. Love is an absolute
one-pointed state of mind, focused on the well-being of the other person, who is called lover or beloved.”
“In love we honor. In
love we grace people. In love we support. In love we sacrifice. In love we give. In love we elevate. In love we pray.”
“Human love is for one
thing only: to love your soul. The Infinite world around you will be in love with you.” “Man has to live in love—love which is not
lust. Love where there is no possession, no slavery of another person. Love which is a giving. Love which is for the sake
of love. Love which lasts forever. Love which is a total sacrifice. Love which is more than the grace of God itself. Love
which gives a halo around the face of the person. Love through which one can see God in the eyes of the person. Love with
which the body shines, the words become sweet, and the communication is absolutely beautiful. That love for which one sacrifices
his own life to save a little bit of injury to another person. That love with which one pleasantly and peacefully takes all
the pain in his heart to redeem another fellow being. That love can only flow when one knows how to tune into that universal
God.” “The
game of love means to identify ourselves as Infinity, not as an individual—that’s the difference. It’s a
huge difference, you have to understand today. You cannot identify yourself as an individual. You have to become a very simple,
solid, neutral, well-mannered, and loving person.” “Love is the experience within one’s self of one’s own selflessness;
that’s why love is God.” “Love is the most secure place in an individual. It is very secure, very deep, very curative
healing. It has no pain. It’s not limited. The highest state of security of an individual is when a person is in the
state of love. It is a consciousness which can penetrate through anything for that thing and nothing can penetrate it.”
“When you feel and experience
selflessness within yourself and you can vibrate for someone, then you are fulfilled with love. This is the highest state
of individual consciousness.”

Yogi Bhajan's Formula
Regarding Prayer For prayer to be effective, our frequency must intertwine with the Infinite electromagnetic
field, the Creator. For any progressive contribution made, you must have an
absolute connection with the entire psyche of the electromagnetic computerized system: we call God. You
project a certain frequency through your little tiny electromagnetic filed to the Universal psyche. If
your signals are correct, the results shall be perfect. Your signals are called
prayers. As creatures, we send prayers to the Creator. Prayer
means we give attention. So where we pay attention we will manifest collectively through our communion
with the Universal. When the unkown becomes known to you, a oneness of self
with God dwells within and the spirit and faith of this produces a power of consciousness. It will take only one psyche to send a signal to the master electromagnetic psyche to rearrange the strength and
coordinate the fulfillment by that psyche that shall give the victory.”

TO
BE, TO BE From a lecture by Yogi Bhajan Published as Soul Answer Newsletter April 19, 2011 'KRI International Teacher Training Manual, Level 1," copyright Kundalini Research Institute,
Espanola, NM, 2003, page 8. The time has come of self-value. And the question is not:
“To be or not to be.” The statement is: “To be, to be.”
“I am, I Am.” The time has come not
to search for God, but to be God. Time is not to worship
God, but to trust and dwell in the working God. As this is coming through
me, it is cleansing me. If you are not listening and only hearing, you are not getting it.
But if you are listening, it will go into you. You have to come to the awareness of how bad and
unfortunate we have made this world as ugly as possible, and how beautiful actually God created it.
We are purely enemies of God, because God within us is in pain, and there is no God outside
us. Each one is the manifestation of God.
So, it won’t work to create God by making a stone God. Every grain of sand is god.
And we have to have our subtle body, our sophisticated self to see it. In
reality, you are a bunch of molecules living by the Pranic Body. You are nothing more, nothing less.
As long as the psyche will not merge in you, equally in balance, you will have no awareness. Human
existence is a combination of the Pranic Body and psyche energy, which is the universe, Prakirti, the creation in proportion.
When you have that state of mind you are clean and clear. You stop searching: you
start practicing. The oddness in you becomes even, and your flow becomes as vast as the universe—and
sometimes beyond the universe. You have the authentic reach to yourself. I don’t
want anybody because I want everybody. This concept is very difficult. I don’t
want to be “I”; I don’t want to be “we.” I want to be “just as it is.” And
my run is with the flow of the psyche of the universe as it takes me, as it moves me, as it desires me. Man
will stop cutting corners and come to a real existence. And it’s not long from now. Any person who thinks he is great may be nothing, because the Information Age is so powerful,
and so knowable, and so acknowledgeable, and so understandable, that nothing can work. We will not be competent
to cheat each other, but we can help and deal with each other as equal. There’s no beautiful, no
ugly. The love of existence of our life and of our breathing will be in need of the flow of the psyche
in us, therefore we can be a real combination of self within the self. And the sensory system which will develop automatically out of us will be our archangel protecting us and glorifying
us.
Keep Up! (Chardi Kala II) Har, Har, Har, Har. Meditate on the Name,
As the tears of God’s Love come to your eyes,
The Path will be revealed. And you’ll see God Everywhere. Keep going! Keep up! Keep
walking… Slowly…
Effortlessly… Gracefully… Sing the Nam!
The Music of the Spheres, And keep on drinking The Nectar Essence of God!

Truth Is That Which Has No Fear! By Yogi Bhajan As soon as you do a sadhana* you will automatically begin to live more righteously and
sensitively. The first sign of that practice is that your “friends” will begin to leave you. Why? Because who are your friends? Normally, your friends are
friends of your habits. When you become a friend of your Consciousness and dwell with God, you do not need
friends. You may have many friends. But how could you be lonely? How
could you feel needy and form connections out of emotions and temperamental reflexes? That is the Truth.
Can you confront that Truth? Can you realize and live the Truth? Yes! Because it is all
in you, and sadhana* can bring your mind to your refinement and reality. Every human being is by nature very honest. All
that dishonesty you see displayed is done out of fear. In your core reality and nature, there is no such
thing as dishonesty. There is no such thing as lying. There are many things that have
no fundamental existence or necessity. Now,
this is how it works. When you mix anything in your life with fear, it becomes a non-reality.
That is because fear itself is a non-reality. There is nothing foreign, nothing you are not part of, and nothing that
is not for you to face. You always want to know what is true. It is your instinct.
Truth is that which
has no fear. Even
a truth spoken in fear is a lie. When you mix fear with anything it becomes non-reality. Your
mind links with the ego and instantly creates complex fantasy and side paths. That is why in many spiritual
disciplines you have a look, a bana**, that projects your Consciousness, and you are afraid to wear it.
You are afraid you will be controlled and that people will ask you for things, seek you out, and demand your top performance
and Consciousness. That is
a basic personality conflict within you. That conflict is based in fear which is based in non-reality.
When you have this conflict, you do not live a human life. You live like a bunch of Mr. Fears and
Ms. Fears. All your action and friendships form out of fear, fear, and more fear. You
are not creating from your Truth, out of relaxation, and out of love. Please understand what I am saying. When you become honest within yourself
and to yourself, before your own Consciousness, there shall not and cannot be any fear. *Sadhana—Daily
spiritual discipline. In Kundalini Yoga, the optimum sadhana is done during the Ambrosial Hours or Amrit
Vela before sunrise. It consists of Japji Sahib (a prayer describing true Reality and how to realize it),
45 minutes of a Kundalini Yoga Kriya, 62 minutes of defined chanted meditations called “The Aquarian Sadhana”,
and about 30 minutes of hymn singing, prayer and reading of the teaching of the day. **Bana—method of dressing that signifies one’s spiritual
commitment. With Kundalini Yoga/Sikhism, bana consists primarily of a turban covering uncut hair, beard
for men and usually wearing white clothing. From: “The Mind, Its Projections and Multiple Facets.”
