As sensitive beings, it is natural for us to bond with one another and form deep and lasting attachments.
Whether a friend, parent, spouse, sibling, mentor or pet, these relationships give meaning to life and elicit complex emotions.
We also attach to roles we play and positions we hold in life - such as daughter, teacher, scientist,
athlete, smart, alcoholic, fat, rich and musician. Sometimes we even attach ourselves to and put great value into possessions,
like a car, a house or designer clothes. When any of these relationships, roles or things change or are taken away,
we may experience a whole array of feelings - sadness, anger, betrayal, relief, fear, insecurity, emptiness, separation and
resentment. We may even feel like a part of us has died or experience an identity crisis. “Who am I without this person,
role or possession?” We base our happiness on our external reality.
Our pain can be agonizing,
so painful that we experience it viscerally as a knot in our stomach, affecting our appetite or digestion; our heart area
feels like someone is sitting on it and we are suffocating and anxious; our lower back feels like it is splitting, with no
support to sustain us and carry us forward. Not knowing what to do to control this intolerable physical and emotional pain,
we often turn to external pacifiers, such as alcohol or pain killers.
We need to realize that this pain
is a friend and teacher. It is a window of opportunity for tremendous growth and expansion.
God Exists Within Us
In times of crisis, we often hear clichés
like - “Have faith in God,” or “It’s all God’s Will.” “God’s Will,”
you scream, “HE’S THE ONE I’M ANGRY WITH FOR LETTING THIS HAPPEN TO ME.” These clichés
are just other temporary external pacifiers, which are not very effective.
The base of Yogic Philosophy rests
on the concept that God exists within us. God is not seen as a punishing or rewarding patriarchal figure outside of
us, but energy experienced within. In Yogic terms, we talk about a “divine trinity” – God (Infinite
Force or Energy), Guru (our own intrinsic inner wisdom) and self (our finite self). Instead of knowing the existence of God
through “belief,” a yogi knows the existence of Infinity through “inner awareness.” In this
way we can identify ourselves as being co-creators with God. Our individual soul/infinity can communicate with the Supreme
Soul. There is no higher or lower; God is not great and we are not small. We are God. All of yogic technology
is designed to give its practitioners this experience. This basic concept of yogic philosophy has enormous implications
in how we live our daily life and in times of healing our wounds of life.
Our finite self is our physical
body, mind and emotions, which will eventually wither and die. Our infinite self is experienced through our soul and
is eternal. Our soul is the individual expression of spirit; it contains the basic nuclear energy of us, our core. Usually
we base our identity on the finite. We attach ourselves to what is tangible about us, like our looks, our accomplishments
and our roles in life. The problem is that these things are transient in life, and if we base our identity solely on
them, we will suffer and restrict ourselves. We lose a job, our hair falls out, a daughter goes away to college, we
get demoted at work, a parent dies. If we base our identity on these things, we are devastated and lost. Conversely, if we
base our identity on our inner relationship with our soul, we can relax into the flow of God energy and use it to create wholeness
in our life, even in times of great distress and loss. In this exceptional Tele-Course with Jivan Joti Kaur, you will be guided to actually heal your very difficult wounds

Satya’s
experience with Jivan Joti’s wonderful course, “Healing the Wounds of Love!”
Satya's husband Brian
passed away two months before this course. Just wanted to share with you my experience with “Healing
the Wounds of Love.” After Brian passed, I knew that I had been on survival mode for such a long time and had
repressed some of the losses during the years I took care of him, me and the cats. I did not quite know how to bring up the
pain to let it go. So I signed up for the Healing the Wounds of Love. .. ..I loved the tools we got, the drawing, the meditations
..so much was coming up..like a river that had not been stirred up in years....I also listened to the YouTube of Baba Siri
Chand where he says put it all on a platter and give it to God and let Him eat it up ..and more came up ..not only was I feeling
lighter day by day , I started to feel happier, I had a friend, my soul, I was no longer alone and the sacred space that was
held, made it so much easier and I felt like my hand was being held. Not only did I process old stuff dating
back to when I was 7..but I realized my interactions with people was changing..I was talking to a friend on the computer (I
was having a bad day of feeling abandoned) he asked, how are you?? So I started those words..what do I
say ?. ..my normal reaction was to say ok but now I shared and he said ..keep focusing on the Light ..take a chance and jump
off the cliff into the Light ...you will see the more u do , the more awesome and fun it will be. I felt
so much lighter having shared.. So, to all of you I just wanted to say that healing is doable, it can be like
an adventure and magic starts happening as you release. You all deserve the Light, the magic to enter your
life and for u to become the Light . We are so blessed to have the technology Yogi Bhajan left us but also the elders who
are still teaching and if this course comes around again, I highly recommend it! Bless u all!
